The SISCOG Story

Founded in 1986 in Lisbon, Portugal, SISCOG emerged from the vision of João Pavão Martins and Ernesto Morgado, who were Ph.D. students in Artificial Intelligence at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Initially inspired by the potential of expert systems, they established SISCOG to combine scientific knowledge, cutting-edge technology and practical know-how and apply it to the rail business. Over the decades, the company has implemented its solutions across various national railways and metro systems, including those in Canada, Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland, Norway, and the UK.
