We have an exciting opportunity for a strong business leader who is passionate about growing businesses and people. In the role of Group Leader, you will have overall responsibility for business strategy and execution for multiple software businesses in our people transportation portfolio. The overall success of this role is measured through the financial results for the businesses for which you are responsible.

THE POSITION

The priority will be to coach your leadership teams to grow each business unit’s revenue, profit, and market position, by:

  1. Hiring, developing, and retaining high-quality, high-integrity business leaders and functional leaders that are technically and commercially strong, and that can deliver sustainably responsible growth.
  2. Working with the management teams along with internal and external stakeholders to develop a long-range company vision and mission for each business, and a systematic business and product roadmap to achieve it.
  3. Developing clear business plans, priorities, and forecasts, and ensuring short-range forecasts are delivered as expected.
  4. Evolving business processes, systems, and policies to ensure scalability, and using timely data to make the best business decisions.
  5. Developing and overseeing win-win relationships with key customers and partners to maximize long-term commercial success for all parties and finding creative solutions to challenges as (or before!) they occur.
  6. Executing on a strong talent management process to attract and retain talent, build strong employee engagement, develop succession plans and leverage up-and-coming talent.
  7. Providing quarterly analysis of ongoing business performance.

You are extremely organized and do not let details slip through the cracks.  You are a collaborative individual, who can work easily with a team, but is comfortable driving work to completion when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years’ experience at a Software or Technology leadership level with full financial statement accountability
  • Experience overseeing multiple businesses concurrently
  • Expert knowledge and success in sales, marketing, technical delivery, customer care, customer success, product or development strategies, as well as strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication, both orally and in writing with outstanding presentation skills
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a strong asset
  • Based in a major city in North America; Toronto is a plus
